Charles Leclerc has insisted that he is not "fully satisfied" with his Ferrari after practice for the British Grand Prix, but team-mate Carlos Sainz gave a more up-beat verdict.

Ferrari has not brought any upgrades to Silverstone, and instead was focused on back-to-back test runs during practice, with Leclerc eighth and Sainz ninth in the opening session.

Later in the afternoon, Leclerc took fifth and Sainz eighth in the tricky conditions with wind and rain a threat throughout the day.

Despite being pleased at getting through the workload, Leclerc was not quite happy with how the car stands heading into the weekend.

"We got a lot of testing done and will analyse all the data we gathered to draw some comparisons and take steps forward as a team," he said.

"For now, we are not fully satisfied and will be working flat-out to solve any issues quickly in order to have a good qualifying.

"I don't feel like it is the case [that we are in the mix].

"I feel like McLaren and Red Bull are a long way ahead this weekend, but I hope I am wrong."

Sainz has a different opinion

However, soon-to-be ex-team-mate Sainz was more upbeat how the Scuderia stood, at the track he won his first grand prix back in 2022.

"It was an interesting Friday for us, as the main aim was to gather useful data to give us a complete picture about our car," he said.

"The objective was achieved and now we need to analyse everything in order to be ready for [qualifying].

"We need to make some decisions, but I think we can position ourselves in a decent spot this weekend."
