Tom Kristensen says he is prepared to offer Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso some guidance on a team-mate if the pair combine forces for a Le Mans attack.
Alonso is a two-time winner of the twice-around-the-clock French endurance race, with Verstappen expressing an interest to compete once his time in F1 comes to an end.
The two have spoken about joining up, with Verstappen's father Jos ruling himself out as a third driver, having no interest in competing.
Kristensen, the record nine-time winner dubbed Mr. Le Mans is prepared to give some names to the duo, should they ask.
"I mean, I might even put myself," Kristensen mused on the RacingNews365 podcast.
"I thought you were leading up to putting myself, but there a lot of great drivers out there.
"If you have Max and Alonso in the car, the third driver needs to be calm, and definitely one I would take and choose from sportscars.
"It has to be a top-line driver, a regular, and there are a lot to choose from, I will not name anyone now, but if they ask me, I will have a few [names]."
