Liam Lawson is to be paired with Sergio Perez's former performance engineer Richard Wood as his new Red Bull race engineer, RacingNews365 can confirm.
Lawson's engineer at Racing Bulls Pierre Hamelin has not followed the Kiwi to the senior Red Bull squad, meaning he would be paired with an existing engineer at the Milton Keynes-based team.
Lawson is to team up with Wood for the 2025 season, with the Briton having served as Perez's performance engineer and stepped into the race engineer slot for a handful of races in '24 after Perez's usual engineer Hugh Bird went on paternity leave.
Wood is a veteran of Red Bull, having joined the team in October 2012 initially on an industrial placement in the race strategy arm of the team.
He has then progressed through the team, serving as an analyst, race support engineer, simulator performance engineer and finally performance engineer since January 2021.
Red Bull also confirmed to RacingNews365 that Gianpiero Lambiase will be continuing on as Max Verstappen's engineer - the pair having worked together since Verstappen's debut for the team at the 2016 Spanish GP.
Perez's old engineer Bird is set to move into a factory-based role with the team, a spokesman confirmed to RacingNews365.
