The weather in Albert Park has been pleasant so far throughout the Australian Grand Prix weekend.
However, on Sunday, that looks set to change. Throughout the week, the threat of rain has risen for race day and it now seems certain the grand prix will be held in wet conditions.
Thunderstorms may even occur as early as 8AM local time in Melbourne, several hours before the race is due to get underway.
The following hours will also remain cloudy with rain continuing to fall while the temperature continues to drop.
At 3PM local time, when the race is due to get underway, the temperature could be as low as 14°C, a drop from the 23°C that is forecast at 8AM.
While the weather worsens, a moderate to fairly strong wind will blow from the south west with about 20 millimetres of rain falling across the entire day.
With the threat of heavy rainfall on the way, F1 is still considering changing the start time of the race. Be sure to keep an eye on RacingNews365 for the latest updates regarding schedule changes!
