Franco Colapinto is to start the British Grand Prix from the Silverstone pit-lane after Alpine opted to make changes to his car.
The Argentine driver was due to start last after spinning out during Q1, leading to Alpine executive advisor Flavio Briatore to hold his head in his hands.
Given the fact that he was due to start 20th, Alpine has decided to swap power unit components on the A525, meaning Colapinto starts from the pit-lane for his first British GP.
It means there will be just 19 cars on the grid, with Kimi Antonelli and Ollie Bearman suffering three and 10-place grid drops following penalties from the stewards.
