It took 109 attempts, but finally at the 110th time of asking, Lando Norris scooped his maiden F1 victory in the 2024 Miami Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver had been labelled with cruel nicknames such as "Lando no wins" but in dominant fashion, scored his first win 12 months ago in Florida.
Certainly though, he was aided in his success by the fortunate timing of a safety car after Kevin Magnussen drop-kicked Logan Sargeant into a barrier, but Norris still did the job he had to and defeated Max Verstappen to land that elusive first win.

For the first time, Miami was holding a sprint event, which ended for Norris in the heavily-upgraded McLaren with a first corner DNF, but optimism for the race, which he qualified P5 for, 0.3s down on pole-man Verstappen.
At lights out, Verstappen was lucky not to be sideswiped by team-mate Sergio Perez as Norris sat in fifth throughout the first stint.
As those ahead pitted, McLaren elected to run long with the Briton, and hope for a safety car, which Magnussen duly delivered after slamming Sargeant's Williams into the Turn 2 wall.
Norris had just taken over the lead after team-mate Oscar Piastri pitted with Carlos Sainz also stopping, with the safety car also picking up second-placed Verstappen.
It meant Norris could make his stop and rejoin the lead, with the restart coming at the end of lap 32 of 57, giving Norris 25 laps to hold on.
But he did more than that, and pulled away to land the first grand prix win of his career, and set the train in motion for McLaren to win the constructors' at the end of the season.
A certain private citizen with a holiday home in Miami also attended the race, stopping by in the McLaren garage and posing for photos with the team.
Six months later, Donald Trump would also win his own race in November's presidential election.
