Lando Norris has enjoyed being able to "recharge" following the gruelling triple-header, ahead of this weekend's Miami Grand Prix.
It is a special event for the McLaren driver, who claimed his first F1 victory at the Miami International Autodrome last season.
For first time since after China, Norris was able to take a week away from the F1 circus, with a crucial visit having been made to McLaren's base in Woking.
Preparation on the simulator has been possible courtesy of the one-week break between the races in Saudi Arabia and Miami, whilst it has also created an opportunity to dissect crucial data.
Ahead of the most recent round in Jeddah, Norris revealed that he would have preferred more time off after Bahrain, something he has now been able to have.
Whether that will make the difference and end his run of driver errors remains to be seen, although he enters the sixth round looking for big points to catch team-mate Oscar Piastri.
"It’s been good to recharge after a busy triple-header, but I’m excited to get back in the car, especially in Miami," said Norris.
"It’s where I won my first F1 race, so this place is special to me. The fans here also bring a great atmosphere, so I’m excited to see all the papaya in the stands.
"Last week, I was back at the MTC with the team, and in the sim to prepare for Miami. It’s a Sprint weekend which means there are more points to race for.
"It should be another good weekend – bring it on!"
