Lando Norris has been dealt a blow by Formula 1 fans ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix, a race which could see the Briton secure a maiden drivers' title.
Norris enters the race 22 points ahead of McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri and 25 points ahead of Max Verstappen.
To become world champion at the Lusail International Circuit, Norris must out score Piastri by at least four points but also finish ahead of Verstappen. Quite simply, a Norris win in Qatar secures him the championship.
However, it is Piastri who starts the penultimate race of the season from pole position, with Norris in second and Verstappen in third.
In a RacingNews365 poll which ran from the conclusion of the final Sprint race of the campaign, just 21.23% believe Norris will win the title in Qatar.
A majority 39.5% believe only Piastri will remain in title contention going into the Abu Dhabi season finale, with only 5.42% thinking that only Verstappen will be able to fight Norris for the title in the last round.
Interestingly, 33.85% are confident that both Piastri and Verstappen will remain in title contention going into the season finale.
