Cupra will remain as Kiro Race Co's co-title partner as Formula E transitions into its Gen4 regulations, with the team continuing to race as Cupra Kiro from the 2026/27 season onwards. The team will also retain Porsche as its powertrain supplier for the new era.
The partnership, which began at the Season 11 São Paulo E-Prix, has already yielded one victory, four podiums and three pole positions.
Off the track, the collaboration has proven equally productive. A tie-up with MrBeast generated over 500 million social media views, while a landmark deal with Marvel Studios to promote Thunderbolts at the 2025 Miami and Monaco rounds marked a first for the championship.
More recently, the team partnered with Amazon MGM Studios for a special-edition livery at the 2026 Monaco E-Prix to celebrate Masters of the Universe, featuring co-owner Sir Idris Elba, who stars in the film.
Cupra, which has sold over one million vehicles since its 2018 launch, views the continuation as a further commitment to electrification and performance.
For the American-owned, British-based Kiro Race Co, it provides commercial stability heading into a significant new chapter, with Gen4 machinery set to produce up to 600 kW and feature permanent all-wheel drive.
"Extending our relationship with Cupra into the GEN4 era of Formula E is a hugely significant milestone for Kiro Race Co," said Jeremy Tarica, managing director, the Forest Road company
"In less than two years, we’ve established a partnership that has delivered success on track while simultaneously creating meaningful commercial opportunities that have connected with audiences far beyond motorsport. Formula E’s next chapter represents a bold step forward for the championship, and we’re equally ambitious about where we’re taking Kiro Race Co as a sports franchise.
"We’re incredibly proud that Cupra has chosen to continue that journey with us. Together, we’ll continue to challenge convention, drive meaningful change, and create long-term value both on and off the circuit."
