Jos Verstappen feels that son Max's success in Formula 1 has been “beyond our dreams” following the Red Bull driver's third title in Qatar.
Verstappen entered the weekend knowing he had to take finish higher than sixth in the sprint race to win the World Championship.
The Dutchman crossed the line in second place, which was enough to ensure he heads into the Grand Prix with the title already secured, after Sergio Perez crashed out at Lusail.
Jos, who has played a large part in Max's motorsport rise and success, admits that Max's achievements exceed anything they could've wished for,
"This was our dream and who could have dreamt that it happens three times in a row? Insane! And this is way beyond our dream,” he told Viaplay.

Less exciting than 2021
Verstappen has dominated the entire campaign, winning 13 times so far this year.
His third title contrasts greatly with his first championship in 2021 which came at the end of an intensely fought season against Lewis Hamilton.
"Now it was less exciting than two years ago,” Verstappen Senior added.
“You know it is coming, but then with a sprint race with so many safety cars... Sunday we have another race and we will try to win it!"
