Jack Doohan has been handed a reprimand following a driving infringement during the final free practice session in Jeddah.
Doohan crossed the white line that divides the pit land and the track itself on two occasions.
The F1 stewards judged it was a breach of the race director's instructions, which was issued to the teams prior to the start of the weekend.
Addressing the first time Doohan crossed the white line, the stewards handed Doohan a warning
“It was made clear in the event notes that no part of the tyre must cross the line in any direction.
“There is no doubt that this prohibition was breached. As this was during free practice, we did not think a more severe penalty than a warning was necessary.”
However, on the second occasion, a reprimand was issued to the Alpine driver.
“It was made clear in the event notes that no part of the tyre must cross the line in any direction,” the statement said.
“There is no doubt that this prohibition was breached for a second time.
“The team warned the driver about the first infringement and asked him to be careful. Despite being warned, Doohan crossed the painted area again.”
Liam Lawson was handed the same punishment on Friday after also crossing the white line on two occasions.
