Stake F1 has confirmed the signing of current Formula 2 championship leader Gabriel Bortoleto, who will partner Nico Hulkenberg next season. The Brazilian was announced after the exits of Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas were revealed by the Hinwil-based team. Bortoleto has previously tested for McLaren at the Red Bull Ring, although that is his only current F1 experience. Several drivers were linked to the seat alongside Hulkenberg, with Bortoleto chosen as the successful candidate by Mattia Binotto. But has the right decision been made?
