IndyCar reveals new layout for Nashville 2024 finale

The new circuit features less corners but a similar length compared to the current layout.

IndyCar has revealed a new layout for the Nashville street circuit which will host the 2024 season finale.

It will be the first time the track has hosted the final race of a season, after making its debut in 2021 racing across much of the downtown area in the city.

The new circuit is an altered route from the original due to the construction of a new NFL stadium for the Tennessee Titans, but will still feature cars racing across the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge.

Reduced corners but circuit lengths stays the same

The new route will now take the cars past the Country Music Hall of Fame, a popular destination for visitors of the city attracting over a million per year.

It will also no longer feature the section outside the Nissan Stadium owing to the stadium works, instead drivers will loop back around across the bridge to a squared off section between Turns 5 and 7.

The length stays the same at 2.17 miles but the number of corners is reduced from 11 to just seven in 2024.

Mark Miles, president & CEO of Penske Entertainment Corp, said: “Next year’s race in Nashville will be an unbridled celebration of the most fierce and competitive motorsport on the planet, set against the backdrop of an innovative and breathtaking stage that includes one of the premier global entertainment districts in the world.

"We’ll have more to share soon on an entire weekend of activities, both on and off track, that fully taps into the growing reach and relevance of an ascendant and marquee city.”
