Mercedes put Valtteri Bottas through his paces in an unusual way at Suzuka, by filming the Finnish driver on a rollercoaster.
The 35-year-old took part in the filming of a social media video for the Silver Arrows, who he returned to ahead of this season as its reserve driver.
Bottas rode a rollercoaster whilst wearing a helmet camera, with Mercedes describing it as "quite possibly the best video we've ever made".
It came as a surprise to a group of fans, who watched on as the 10-time F1 race winner experienced the thrills of the theme park ride at the Japanese Grand Prix.
He is known to be a thrill-seeker, although Bottas quickly admitted in the video before the ride began that he was "actually nervous".
Bottas is seeking a return to the F1 grid for 2026 and is rumoured to be an option for the new Cadillac F1 Team.
