A symbolic Ferrari driven by Michael Schumacher is up for sale at auction later this month. The F2001b - chassis 215 - was Schumacher's car for the opening rounds of the 2002 season, securing victory in the campaign-opening Australian Grand Prix. Seven-time World Champion Schumacher then secured Ferrari's 150th F1 pole position at the Malaysian Grand Prix before finishing third following a charge through the pack to overcome first-lap contact with Juan Pablo Montoya. The German then secured a further 10 race wins that year, though after the 2002 machinery was introduced by the Scuderia, to clinch his then-record equalling fifth Drivers' title. Ferrari's F2001b will be up for sale on August 16 in an auction hosted by Sotheby's Sealed in Monterey. Another Schumacher F1 Ferrari, an F2003-GA, was sold for $14.9 million [£11.7 million] at a Sotheby's auction last year which broke the record fetched by an F1 car.
