With a conspicuous purple livery and MTV branding on the side, Simtek Formula 1 cars were known more for their appearance than their speed. The team, founded by former FIA president Max Mosely, competed in F1 for two years before being forced to shutter their operations due to their rising debts. However, before their foreclosure in 1995, the team were able to land something of a coup when Benetton loaned out Jos Verstappen to the team for the season. Despite having a driver who claimed two podiums the previous year and simultaneously striking a deal to run Benetton gearboxes, the team's cars were largely unreliable and Verstappen and his teammate Domenico Schiattarella were unable to score any points. After completing the first four rounds in the 1995 season the team folded, never returning to the grid again. While the price of the car is unknown pictures of the car along with other details can be found here .
