How Vettel has already made a huge impression at Aston Martin

Sebastian Vettel has only recently arrived at Aston Martin but the four-times world champion has already impressed his new bosses.

Aston Martin team principal Otmar Szafnauer and technical director Andrew Green have been immediately impressed by Sebastian Vettel since the German's arrival at the former Racing Point squad. Vettel is about to embark on his first season with the British outfit and his new bosses feel that he is already settling in well, as well as proving to be a positive influence on the team's way of working. "He's fitting in really well," Green told RacingNews365.com among others. "He's gelling with his crew and with the team. He's obviously a very, very likeable chap, but he's also incredibly knowledgeable and meticulous about the way he works, and that's exactly why we wanted him involved. "We're starting to see how we can adapt to his way of working. It is different to the way we worked before, but like I said that's the exact reason why we got him in, to impart some of his knowledge and wisdom on us as a four-times world champion. That's exactly what we need." Szafnauer has been similarly impressed by Vettel. "Seb's got a great work ethic, and he's a true racer," the team principal explained. "He's got that racing spirit that the team also possesses, so I think we will work really, really well together. "We have the same objectives, and just want to make sure we leave no stone unturned to extract every bit of performance out of the car. That's what Seb's about. That's what we're about, so we're working very well together."
