AlphaTauri is the latest team to launch their 2023 season ahead of pre-season testing, which is just weeks away. It is expected that the Red Bull sister team will be showing off their livery for the AT04 at the glittering event in New York. Here is everything you need to know about the event.
What time does the launch start?
The AlphaTauri launch takes place in New York on Saturday 11th February at 22:30 GMT. This will be 17:30 EST.
Why is AlphaTauri launching in New York?
While the team has chosen the same location as Red Bull, the reasons are slightly different. AlphaTauri is primarily a fashion brand and Friday 10th February marked the start of the famous New York Fashion Week. Italian footwear brand P448 is set to have a presence after inking a partnership deal with the team in September last year. Actor Mark Wahlberg is a main investor in the footwear company, and was seen on the AlphaTauri social media channels advertising a competition for the upcoming race in Las Vegas.
What can I expect from the AlphaTauri launch?
It is unlikely that there will be an actual chassis unveiled at the event given the logistics, however the car should resemble some aspects of the AT04. The team will likely show off their 2023 livery, which is expected to be the similar navy blue and white colours to previous years. This could feature some new colours after the team teased on social media, after signing Polish oil company Orlen - formerly at Alfa Romeo - as a sponsor. The team has already revealed what their race suits will look like ahead of the launch with Orlen logo's taking up prominent space. Both Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries will be present at the event giving their first reaction ahead of the new season.
