It is expected that Aston Martin will show off the actual AMR23 chassis, after Deputy Technical Director Eric Blandin confirmed this would be the case. "We will unveil the actual car, just as we did last year," he said in an Aston Martin interview. "The car we reveal at our new factory in Silverstone on 13 February will be the real AMR23. We're not going to disappoint fans." Blandin also confirmed that he does not expect the porpoising phenomenon to disappear completely from cars , but stated that there are several ways the teams can combat it. Alonso is also said to have had an "instant impact" when he took part in the post-season test at Abu Dhabi , suggesting design changes after just one day in the car.
