Horner makes exciting F1 prediction in 'grey hairs' admission

Christian Horner claims last year changed the colour of his hair - a situation that may well worsen over the F1 season to come.

Christian Horner believes the 2025 F1 season will be a "thriller", despite the stresses of last year's constructors' championship fight having taken its toll on him.

The Red Bull team principal reckons his hair is more grey than 12 months ago after a difficult campaign for the team throughout.

Internal instability characterised the off-season and early part of the year for the Milton Keynes squad, including now-dismissed serious accusations made against him personally. As soon as those difficulties subsided, the situation on track worsened.

For the first time since the opening stage of the 2022 season, its F1 rivals were able to consistently push them for victories.

Twinned with Sergio Perez's worsening form, Red Bull fell behind McLaren and Ferrari over the course of the season, ultimately finishing third in the constructors' standings.

It was able to turn things around towards the end of the campaign, as Verstappen secured two victories in the final four rounds to close off his fourth F1 drivers' title.

However, the Horner is remaining cautious ahead of 2025 getting underway. In his view, it is all relative, and is nonetheless expecting a highly entertaining year ahead.

"We don't know what the others are doing," the 51-year-old told media including RacingNews365. "We'd rather understate and over deliver.

"And with stable regs [regulations], you can see how the cars have converged. It's great for the sport that there's so much competition.

"I've got a few more grey hairs this year. Next year will be a thriller, but I think we've got the best driver in our car, and I think we've got the best team as well."
