Free Practice 3 and qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix are set to be conducted in very wet conditions, with rain having started to fall ahead of the final practice session.

A challenging day awaits the drivers with rain clouds having suddenly formed over Spa-Francorchamps in the closing stages of a Porsche support race.

The F3 sprint race was conducted in a mix of dry and damp conditions, before rain suddenly fell in the closing laps for the Porsches.

According to the FIA, there is a 100% chance of moderate rain showers for FP3, with this forecast having worsened in the last hour. Earlier this morning, only a 60% chance of light rain was forecast.

There is a concerning 80% chance of very heavy showers ahead of and during qualifying, which could result in a mixed-up grid and potential delays to the session.
