Lewis Hamilton is being “rewarded” for his time spent experimenting with Mercedes' set-ups across the last two seasons, according to ex-IndyCar driver and F1 pundit James Hinchcliffe.

Mercedes struggled for performance when new technical regulations came into play in 2022 and has only recently improved itself back into a consistent front-running position.

Porsche reveal F1 intention after Red Bull saga

Porsche motorsport vice president Thomas Laudenbach has ruled out the German manufacturer returning to F1, following the company's recent saga with Red Bull.

Two years ago, Porsche held conversations with Red Bull about forming a partnership with the outfit for the 2026 introduction of the new power unit regulations.

Red Bull reject infamous Mercedes comparison with troubled RB20

Red Bull's chief engineer Paul Monaghan has rejected the comparison of its troubled RB20 F1 car to the infamous Mercedes "diva" machines.

Max Verstappen started his title defence strongly in 2024, with the RB20 fast out of the blocks with seven wins from the first 10 races with the championships looking like an almost certainty for the Milton Keynes-based outfit, but the car is no longer the class of the field.

Antonelli reveals key Wolff phone call

Mercedes F1 protégé Andrea Kimi Antonelli has opened up on a phone call he had with Toto Wolff earlier this year.

Antonelli, who has been part of Mercedes' junior programme since 2019, has been heavily tipped with a drive at the Brackley-based squad next year in place of Ferrari-bound Lewis Hamilton.

McLaren address F1 driver status concerns

McLaren CEO Zak Brown has downplayed concerns over managing driver status at his F1 team going forward.

The Woking-based squad has been a consistent front-runner for much of the ongoing campaign, with both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri securing their first race wins.

Leclerc reveals ‘reassuring’ element to Hamilton’s Ferrari arrival

Charles Leclerc has stated Lewis Hamilton's decision to sign for Ferrari has reassured him of the team's future.

Hamilton will bring his long-standing partnership with Mercedes to an end at the conclusion of the season and join the Italian squad on a multi-year deal.
