Has Hamilton given up?

Given the competitive slump Mercedes is suffering at the moment is far from the usual heights Lewis Hamilton is used to, and the fact he is off at the end of the year, is it fair to question his motivation?

After all, a driver with more wins than any other in the history of F1 is not going to get excited over fighting for sixth place.

Wolff's Antonelli advice

But as one door closes...

Andrea Kimi Antonelli will be in F1 at some point, of that there can be no doubt. The only question is when, and with whom. 

One thing is for sure, it is unlikely to be until the second half of 2024 at the earliest as he doesn't currently meet the FIA superlicence requirements, as he is not 18 and doesn't hold an Italian driving licence, but he recently got to grips with the Mercedes W13. 

Mercedes is putting Antonelli through his paces in a sizeable private testing programme, as Toto Wolff offered his protege some advice...

Brad Pitt's F1 movie

In case you were wondering, that Brad Pitt, Lewis Hamilton, Jerry Bruckheimer, Joseph Kosinski film is still in development, and no, it still doesn't have a name. 

Filming has taken place at multiple grands prix, including at Silverstone in 2023 where Pitt and Damson Idris will play team-mates at the fictional Apex Grand Prix team. 

There is still nothing official on a publication date, with the film set to be distributed by Apple, but one crucial piece of information has come out...

Red Bulls draws Congress to Andretti

The United States House of Representatives is making itself busy with Andretti and its rejection, for now, by F1. 

But why is Congress starting now, especially when Andretti was blocked back in January?

Two reasons - that Red Bull inadvertently poked the bear and cold, hard politics.
