Mercedes summoned to stewards over bizarre Hamilton rules breach

The seven-time champion is competing in his home British Grand Prix this weekend.

Mercedes has been summoned to see Formula 1 stewards at the British Grand Prix for Lewis Hamilton's late arrival at the pre-race press conference. The British driver was selected to be in the first round of drivers in the Silverstone press conference alongside Charles Leclerc, Esteban Ocon, Alex Albon and Yuki Tsunoda but was a little late in arriving. Hamilton did so couple of minutes after the session began. As such, the team representative has been summoned to see the stewards at 11:15am local time for a breach of Article 19.1 a) of the Sporting Regulations, which is late arrival at the press conference.
