Lewis Hamilton has shared a professional update on business and employment-focused social media platform LinkedIn after his official switch to Ferrari.

The British driver, who left Mercedes after 12 seasons in Brackley, addressed "anyone considering their next move in 2025", urging them to "embrace the change" of new challenges in an inspirational new position post, in which he tagged new employers Ferrari.

He had already updated other social media platforms, like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, with a photo of him karting with his now-infamous number 44 and a red helmet, and a red racing car emoji.

On LinkedIn, the 39-year-old wrote a more comprehensive post, signing off the message "Andiamo", which translates as "let's go" in Italian, with the hashtag #newjob - as well as the aforementioned photo.

Hamilton also updated the About section on his profile to reflect his new home in F1.

In joining Ferrari, the seven-time F1 drivers' champion will attempt to become only the second driver in the championship's history to win a title with more than two teams, after winning his first with McLaren in 2008.

Juan Manuel Fangio, the first to reach five drivers' crowns - something that would not be matched until Michael Schumacher in 2002 - took the title with four different manufacturers in the 1950s.

Hamilton and Mercedes formed the most prolific and successful team-driver pairing the series has ever seen, and claiming a drivers' championship with Ferrari will also set the 105-time grand prix winner apart from the German, moving from seven titles to a record eight.
