Lewis Hamilton has posted another update on social media, fresh from breaking his two-month silence. Having remained silent after the 2021 title decider, Hamilton emerged on Saturday when he posted a short update declaring that "I'm back" , alongside a photo of himself smiling at the Grand Canyon. Hamilton shared a few more updates in the hours following his 'return', confirming that he was in New York. He has since travelled to the UK and posted a video of himself running in London on Monday morning.

Hamilton was accompanied by his trainer, Angela Cullen, and included the caption 'back at it' on his video, suggesting he is in full preparation mode for the new F1 season. Hamilton has made no further comments about his plans for 2022, though is contracted with Mercedes through 2023, having signed a fresh deal last summer. Mercedes will launch their new car, the W13, on 18 February.
