Hamilton admits Mercedes car doesn't feel great

Saturday saw Mercedes get their winter testing campaign back on track. While Lewis Hamilton was able to complete 58 laps Saturday morning, he revealed the rear of the car has proven tricky to deal with.

Although Lewis Hamilton sees no reason for Mercedes to panic just yet after an improved performance on Saturday, the reigning world champions admits the rear of the car doesn't feel particularly great so far. The Brit suffered though a tricky Friday session as he struggled to keep the W12 pointed in the right direction. Although Hamilton completed 58 laps on Saturday, he admits things aren't perfectly dialled in just yet after beaching his car at Turn 13 which forced a red flag. “Compared to the past, it’s not been particularly useful,” he told Formula1.com. “I’ve done 60 laps or something like that… so it’s not a lot compared to other test days we’ve had. "But we’re trying to be as efficient as we can be. We have less mileage than some of the others, like the Red Bulls so far, but we’re just trying to stick to our programme and manage the amount of laps we have also and try to be as efficient as we can. “[The track was] very gusty, as I found out into Turn 13, so the rear doesn’t feel particularly great with this new regulation change. But we’re trying to find the sweet spot.”
