Isack Hadjar has been summoned to the F1 stewards for an unsafe release involving Max Verstappen in Chinese Grand Prix qualifying.
During Q3 in Shanghai, as Verstappen made his way down the pit-lane, Racing Bulls released Hadjar into the path of the world champion, who had to take avoiding action and was seen shaking his head in the cockpit.
The two must attend the stewards at 1715 local time - 0915 UK time - to discuss the issue.
Hadjar had qualified in seventh place, with Verstappen in fourth as Oscar Piastri took a maiden F1 pole ahead of George Russell, with Lando Norris third and Sprint winner Lewis Hamilton fifth.
