Isack Hadjar has cleared the air with Helmut Marko after the Red Bull advisor accused the F1 rookie of being "embarrassing" for his emotional outburst after crashing on the formation lap of the Australian Grand Prix.

TV cameras caught Hadjar crying inside his helmut on the side of Melbourne's Albert Park circuit following a spin in wet conditions which saw wreck his Racing Bulls machine on his debut for the team.

The incident garnered Hadjar widespread support, from both inside and outside the paddock. Anthony Hamilton, father of seven-time F1 champion Lewis, played his part by consoling the French-Algerian as he walked back into the paddock, offering him words of encouragement.

Marko appeared to the only person who took umbrage with Hadjar. Speaking to Austrian television station ORF after the race, he said: "Isack Hadjar did a little bit of crying after his crash. That was a bit embarrassing."

In response, and in the build-up to this weekend's second race of the season in China, Hadjar was asked for his thoughts on the remarks of Marko.

After a little chuckle, and speaking to media, including RacingNews365, at the Shanghai International Circuit, Hadjar said: "I found it embarrassing myself.

"You know, Helmut. I had him on the phone a day later, and it's all good.

"I've known him for a few years now. I'm used to how he works. Another point, I think he was speaking German, and he was reinterpreted differently, and you don't know about the body language. I've not seen the footage, so I can't say much.

"Apart from that, all the love from the fans and the people, I did not expect that at all when I binned it in the wall. So that was nice."
