Haas still unable to leave the Netherlands during F1 sponsor dispute

Haas' former title sponsor Uralkali is seeking payments from the American team - despite Haas stating a transfer has been made, Uralkali says it is still waiting for confirmation. As a result, Haas is not yet allowed to leave the Netherlands.

Following the Dutch Grand Prix, Haas is not out of the woods amid its ongoing dispute with ex-sponsor Uralkali.

The American F1 team must send $12 million and a 2021 car to the potash fertilizer company following a ruling from a Swiss arbitrator earlier this year.

However, uncertainty exists over the status of the payment.

Haas claims it transferred the money on Friday, but RacingNews365 understands that Uralkali has still not received payment.

Until it does, Uralkali is seizing Haas' assets, meaning the team can't travel to Italy where the 16th round of the F1 world championship takes place next weekend.

The team confirmed in a statement to RacingNews365 that it is unable to leave for Monza.

Haas' trucks will remain in the Netherlands on Sunday night, pending confirmation of payment on Monday.

However, it is currently unclear if the payment will actually be finalised then, leaving Haas to wait in suspense as to whether it will get to Italy in time.

Team owner Gene Haas, who is present at Circuit Zandvoort, is also not allowed out of the Netherlands, according to RacingNews365 information.

The situation surrounding the 2021 Haas car that is included in the repayments was supposed to be settled on Monday, but there is still uncertainty about that as well.

In particular, the American team is running into complications surrounding payments to Russia.
