Haas receive double fine over Hungary rules breach

A costly day for the team in Hungary with a double penalty from the stewards.

Haas have been fined a total of €10,000 for breaching Formula 1 tyre rules at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The stewards summoned the team manager during Qualifying at the Hungaroring for infringements on both Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg's cars. It was found that the team had returned a set of Intermediate tyres per car physically to Pirelli, but had failed to do so electronically. This was a breach of Article 30.5 g of the Sporting Regulations, with each infringement worth €5,000. Magnussen and Hulkenberg qualified 19th and 10th, respectively with these positions unchanged.
