Entering his third season in Formula 1, Antonio Giovinazzi aims of finishing on the podium with the Alfa Romeo team. The Italian who secured a full-time drive with the Swiss-based outfit in 2019 has managed a career-best finish of fifth at the chaotic 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix. While he understands Alfa will need to drastically improve their car for the upcoming season, Giovinazzi's target is a podium place. "My dream is to bring Alfa Romeo to the podium and I hope to do it," Giovinazzi said to Sky Italia. "To do that you need a competitive car, luck, work. And we are working hard, even physically I have prepared myself well. "I hope to have the car in Bahrain the best possible car for the first race." Giovinazzi also hopes the new Ferrari engine will be an improvement from last year. "There is the unknown power unit, we hope here too that it can go better and allow us to have more fun," Giovinazzi said. Giovinazzi finally offers his opinion on the proposed sprint races set to take place this year. "These are important hours, a decision is being made to that effect," Giovinazzi said. "I had a similar experience in Formula 2, but it was different. I don't mind this idea. F1 has always wanted to try new things and let's see what happens. It would be. It's nice to have two races in Monza, that's for sure."
