George Russell has been summoned before the stewards at the Canadian Grand Prix for a failure to follow the race director's notes.
Prior to each round of the F1 season, the race director publishes notes with various instructions the drivers must abide by.
The Mercedes driver has been alleged to have fallen foul of Article 12.2.1i of the FIA's International Code and non-compliance with item 17.3, document 04 of the event notes.
Specifically, that is following the escape road instructions at Turn 14, which is the final chicane at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
17.3 is: "Any driver who fails to negotiate Turn 9 or Turn 13 and passes completely to the left of the orange apex kerb must keep completely to the left of the orange line on the exit of the corner and re-join the track at the far end of the asphalt run-off."
Meanwhile, 12.2.1.i is: "Failure to follow the instructions of the relevant officials for the safe and orderly conduct of the Event."
The three-time grand prix winner will visit the officials at 18:50 local time.
