Gasly summoned after Verstappen near-miss

Pierre Gasly has been summoned to the stewards following an incident during qualifying for the United States Grand Prix. 

The Alpine driver will visit the stewards at 19:00 local time for an alleged unsafe release during Q3, where the Frenchman almost made contact with Max Verstappen. 

Specifically, Gasly has been summoned for an alleged breach of Article 34.14 a) of the sporting regulations.

Gasly did go on to qualify in an impressive seventh at the Circuit of the Americas, much to the delight of the Enstone-based team. 

Verstappen has also been summoned, although is not the driver at fault having already been driving towards the pit exit.
