Gasly causes early red flag as Baku deja vu strikes for Alpine

The Frenchman stopped on track just a few minutes into the first practice session and caused an early red flag, while Esteban Ocon also had problems in his car.

Pierre Gasly stopped on track just a few minutes into the first practice session with a driveshaft problem and caused the first red flag of the weekend. The Alpine driver stopped on track in between Turns 7 and 8 when he lost drive due, bringing out the red flags as he was recovered by marshals. Teammate Esteban Ocon also had to get out of his car in the first minutes due to an electrical problem, sparking flashbacks to Alpine's nightmare weekend in Baku.
