Max Verstappen had hoped to win the virtual 24 Hours of Daytona for the second time in a row. However, with just a few hours left in the race, that ambition can more than likely be binned. The Dutchman crashed in the early morning (European time) to dent his chances. The situation took an even worse turn for the four-time world champion as he was issued two heavy time penalties. Verstappen, on two separate occasions, drove into the pit lane in an unsafe manner and was given two 40-second time penalties. View footage of the frustrated Verstappen below!
