Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds has offered the "deepest condolences" of the championship to the friends and family of Juha Miettinen.
Swede Miettinen was killed in a multi-car accident at the Nurburgring on Saturday in the first of two four-hour qualifying races for the 24 Hours next month.
The Nordschleife veteran passed away at the medical centre following the incident, after which the race was abandoned.
As tributes have poured in for Miettien, Dodds has added FE's thoughts to the widespread tributes for the fallen 66-year-old.
"On behalf of everyone at Formula E, I want to express our deepest condolences to Juha Miettinen’s family, friends, team, and the wider motorsport community," read the statement.
"Moments like this cut across all categories and remind us that, while we push the boundaries of performance and innovation, safety must always remain our absolute priority."
