Formula 2 2024 schedule
The 2024 Formula 2 season is spread over 14 rounds, the first of which will take place in Bahrain on the weekend of 29 February to 2 March. Check out the full Formula 2 calendar for 2024 below and find out which races have been dropped and added from the schedule.

Since the revival of Formula 2 in 2017, 2024 will see its eighth season. Eleven teams and 22 Formula 2 drivers will compete in the 14 races on the calendar, spread across 13 different countries.
Formula 2 kick-off in Bahrain
Round one will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit on the weekend of 29 February to 2 March. The first Formula 1 weekend will also kick off in Bahrain that weekend. The Formula 2 teams will start racing at the Jeddah circuit in Saudi Arabia the very next weekend.
Formula 2 in Europe
After the first three Formula 2 weekends, Formula 2 moves to Europe, with the first race in Italy at the Imola circuit. Also, of course, iconic Monaco is back on the calendar from 23 to 26 May.
The Formula 2 races in Spain, Austria and Britain will be a triple header, followed by a double header in Belgium at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit and in Hungary at the Hungaroring.
After the race in Hungary, there will be a summer break, after which Formula 2 will resume in Monza, Italy.
Last Formula 2 race 2024
The very last Formula 2 race on the calendar will take place in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina Circuit during the weekend of 6-8 December 2024. The last Formula 1 Grand Prix will also take place there on the same weekend.
Changes Formula 2 2024 calendar
Compared to the 2023 Formula 2 calendar, it will see two changes:
New Formula 2 race added
A new race has been added to the 2024 calendar. Indeed, Formula 2 will descend on Qatar at the Losail International Circuit in 2024. Round 13 on the calendar will take place on the weekend of 29 November to 1 December.
Disappeared Formula 2 race
Unfortunately for Dutch fans, we will not see Formula 2 return to the Zandvoort circuit in 2024.
FIA Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel said: “I’m very pleased to announce that there will be fourteen rounds and 28 races on the Formula 2 calendar in 2024. For next year, we will race in Qatar, which is a very exciting new venue. The final leg of the season will see Baku, Qatar and Abu Dhabi after the race weekend in Monza, making the 2024 calendar more balanced. We keep receiving interest from many promoters, and it’s great that we can add new tracks every season. Even though there will be more fly-away events in 2024, we continue to ensure the teams’ budget remains at a proper level.”
