Pirelli have tweeted out a picture of the Ferrari test car on 18 inch wheels. Both Ferrari and Alpine are carrying out tests of the new 18 inch wheels this week, ahead of their introduction in 2022. While Ferrari have tested the 18 inch wheels before, no pictures have been shared showing the car. The test takes place at the Bahrain International Circuit, with Ferrari and Alpine staying on with their test teams over the course of the week. Ferrari are running an adapted mule car from their 2019 SF90, with Carlos Sainz driving on Tuesday morning before Charles Leclerc takes over in the afternoon. Nine of the ten teams are confirmed on Pirelli's 18 inch tyre testing programme this year, with Williams being the only absentee. However, all data learned is shared across all of the teams to ensure no team gains an advantage from testing.
