Formula 1 fans have called for the FIA to introduce a new ground-breaking system into the championship.

In Formula E, the governing body has introduced the technology, with lights fitted to the back of the new Gen3 EVO cars.

The lights flash either yellow or red when either coloured flag is waved during a session. It has been introduced to FE to improve a driver's reaction time.

F1 fans want to see the same system introduced to the pinnacle of motorsport, which could, in theory, help drivers when visibility is poor.

Almost 80% of voters want the system to be introduced, with only 12.4% not wanting to see it in F1.
