Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur has addressed the allegations made against a number of F1 teams regarding a unique “trick” while the cars are on the track.

According to a report from Auto Motor und Sport, Red Bull claimed McLaren is injecting a small volume into its tyre systems to help cool the compound.

Ferrari was also a team mentioned in the report, with the trick allegedly allowing teams to enhance the performance of the car by ensuring the tyre stays cooler for a longer period.

The accusation comes following other technical scrutiny this year including the McLaren rear wing in Baku and Red Bull's front bib system.

However, Vasseur is adamant to stay out of such rumours as he looks to steer Ferrari towards its first title in 16 years.

“I don’t know where,” Vasseur told media including RacingNews365 where the accusations are coming from.

“I won’t go into this field because it is one of the assets of the team this year to stay away from all the polemics.

“I don’t understand the theory because I think we are all trying to remove humidity from everywhere, not adding something into the tyres.”

Pirelli Head of F1 Mario Isola has asserted he has seen no evidence of interference of the tyres from the teams.

“I cannot see anything strange from the data we have,” he stated. “I don’t have any evidence.

“It’s up to the FIA now to decide what to do and to tell us if we can support, because at the end of the day the only thing we can do is to support them.”
