Lewis Hamilton is set to work with Riccardo Adami at Ferrari, the former race engineer of Carlos Sainz and Sebastian Vettel.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Adami will be Hamilton's new race engineer, with Peter Bonnington having remained at Mercedes.
Adami most recently worked as Sainz's race engineer, but also held the same role for four-time F1 world champion Vettel.
On January 1, Hamilton officially became a Ferrari driver, having announced the signing of a multi-year contract on February 1 2024.
His reported race engineer is very experienced, having been with both Vettel and Sainz for both drivers entire stints with the Maranello-based team.
Also, according to the Italian outlet, Hamilton will continue working with manager Marc Hynes, who he reunited with last year.
On top of this, Hamilton is reportedly going to be joined at Ferrari by trainers, photographers, security personnel and “at least one figure for communication and public relations outside Formula 1.”
It is one of the biggest driver transfers in F1 history, and one which puts pressure on Ferrari to ensure that a competitive car is delivered.
