Ferrari has opted to introduce a major change to the cars of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc for the remainder of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Following Friday practice in Jeddah, Ferrari opted to fit new power units to the cars of both drivers. This includes a change of the combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H and MGU-K. The control electronics and energy store remain untouched. It marks the first time this year Ferrari has carried out changes to its power unit set-up. The Italian squad endured a difficult day of practice on Friday, with Hamilton left languishing in 13th place. The seven-time champion stated his primary goal for qualifying is to ensure he makes the top 10 and is not eliminated early.
