Fears of a washout of Day 2 of F1 pre-season testing have grown after heavy rain has been forecast to hit Bahrain.

Conditions heading into the three days of running was not expected to feature any rain, but according to the FIA's weather system, there is currently a 40% chance of heavy rain falling from Thursday morning.

On-track action begins at 1000 local time in Sakhir, with the rain currently predicted to rise to 60% by 1300 local time and stay steady throughout the rest of the day.

Of all the 35 tyre sets each team has been allowed to bring by Pirelli, only Aston Martin and Haas have any wet tyres.

Aston has brought three sets of intermediate tyres, whilst Haas has one set of the intermediates and one of the full wet tyres.
