F2 driver left upside down after huge crash in Austria

The F2 sprint race has been red-flagged following a lap two crash at the Austrian Grand Prix.

The F2 sprint race at the Austrian Grand Prix has been red-flagged after Sami Meguetounif flipped over after a three-car accident.

On Lap 2 of 28 as the field climbed the hill towards the tight right-hander of Turn 3, Meguetounif tried to make a move up the inside of Red Bull junior Arvid Lindblad.

However, the gap he was driving into closed, with Lindblad's right-front making contact and flipping Meguetounif over the top of Williams F1 junior Luke Browning, with Meguetounif rolling across the top of Browning's car whilst inverted.

He came to rest upside down, but fortunately reported to the team that he was okay as the race was suspended.

Joshua Durksen leads under the red flag, with McLaren F1 junior Alex Dunne falling to eighth from third following a poor launch and start.

The incident-strewn race was eventually restarted, but further crashes led to a timed race, including another multi-car incident at Turn 3 on the final lap
