Of all the driver line-ups on the 2025 F1 grid, it is Alpine’s which is most precarious.

After officially announcing Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan as it’s driver pairing in 2024, the team has now signed Franco Colapinto as a third and reserve driver from Williams on a long-term deal.

The signing of the quick, yet crash-prone Colapinto after his impressive nine-race stint at the end of 2024, is sure to heap pressure on rookie Doohan, who has long-served as Alpine’s simulator driver.

The team has insisted that Doohan will be its race driver, but with Colapinto lurking in the shadows, any under-performance from the Australian could bring an end to his career before it’s really got going.

Gasly heads into the season as Alpine’s now number one driver following the departure of Esteban Ocon, with the Frenchman’s late burst in form hauling the team up to sixth in the 2024 constructors’, earning it millions of dollars in extra prize money.

But we would to know which Alpine driver will score the most points in the 2025 season. Let us know by voting in the poll below and in the comments!
