Qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix will be delayed by five minutes after multiple big crashes took place in the F2 sprint at the Red Bull Ring.

Firstly, there was a scary crash at the start of the support race, which saw Sami Megeutounif flip his Trident over Luke Browning's Hitech, the halo playing a crucial role in protecting both.

The race was red-flagged for that incident, but did get a full run. However, there was another big crash on the final lap involving four cars at Turn 3, which has necessitated the delay.

F1 qualifying is due to get underway at 16:05 local time in Austria.
