F1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali is hopeful of seeing a "strong Ferrari" this year for the sake of his sport.
The Scuderia endured a miserable 2025, failing to win a grand prix and finishing a staggering 435 points adrift of constructors' champions McLaren, just 12 months after coming within 14 points of lifting the trophy for the first time since 2008.
Although Charles Leclerc scored seven podiums, new team-mate Lewis Hamilton, following his high-profile move from Mercedes, did not finish in the top three at the end of a grand prix for the first time in his 19-year F1 career.
Ferrari made an early call to stop aerodynamic development on the SF-25 at the end of April, instead opting to concentrate on the biggest change to the regulations in F1 history in the hope of hitting the ground running this season.
Domenicali is naturally hoping the team he ran for seven seasons as team principal from 2008 to 2014 can again be successful.
"I'm a positive guy," said Domenicali, in an interview with Sky Sports News. "There's no need to cry, there's no need always to be negative. They need to have a plan.
"I'm sure Fred [Vasseur], Lewis and Charles have a plan, and that's what is important. I think it's important to react, not to fade away, as, let's say, is normal to be fourth in the championship.
"We want to have strong Ferrari, and they deserve to be in a stronger position. They need to make sure that there is the right energy and the right thing to follow up, because [for this year] everyone is talking, but no one knows where we are.
"And if you saw what happened [in 2025], everyone already knew what was happening in the future [with regard to the new rules], so stay tuned because every race there will be an evolution."
