Less than 10% of fans think Sainz should join Stake F1

Carlos Sainz is now undisputedly the number one option left on the F1 driver market.

Mercedes and Red Bull may prefer Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Sergio Perez, respectively, but Sainz is still the best driver available for any team looking to make a change. Plus, we know he has to make a change, so where might he go?

Prior to Fernando Alonso penning on with Aston Martin for at least two more seasons, RacingNews365 asked F1 fans which team they felt Sainz should join for 2025.

Now, with Alonso having renewed his contract, joining the Silverstone-based team is seemingly highly unlikely for Sainz. However, even if Lawrence Stroll does decide to drop his son, it's perhaps not a move F1 fans would endorse. Prior to the Alonso announcement, fewer than one in five fans believed it to be his best option.

Interesting, fewer than 10 percent think Sainz should join Stake F1 - immediately, at least, as the team transitions from Sauber to Audi for 2026 - even though it remains his likely destination.
