Sky Sports have renewed their contract to broadcast live coverage of Formula 1 in the United Kingdom until 2028, RacingNews365.com understands.

Confirmation of the new deal with the subscription-based network is expected later on Friday.

Since 2012, Sky Sports have retained exclusive rights to show live coverage of all sessions from all Grands Prix, with the British Grand Prix also being shown live on terrestrial television.

RacingNews365.com understands that this contract extension is separate from Sky’s operations in Germany and Italy, who air F1 coverage in those countries.
